Frequently Asked Questions
Oneeko Overview
Q. What is Oneeko?
A. Oneeko allows you to recreate real world interaction by enabling a true voice, video and content sharing interaction between participants regardless of distance. Oneeko brings visual content to any telephone conversation using a very simple 2-button approach that makes sharing your screen easy and fun. You can invite your guests and be sharing your screen in a matter of seconds. Since Oneeko runs 100% in Flash, your guest will connect instantly through their browser with no download require.
Oneeko features Intelligent Skype Integration, allowing you true instant click-to-collaborate capabilities. When Oneeko detects Skype in use, it will discreetly prompt you for a screen sharing session, offering you a 1-click access to share content from your PC with a colleague and customer.
Q. What can I do with Oneeko?
A. Oneeko is uniquely suited to give people (regardless of their technological background) a very easy to use tool that quickly extends their regular over-the-phone sales pitch (audio-only conversation) into a much more effective “see together what we are talking about” communication, akin to people meeting face-to-face. It is ideal for sales (presentations and product demos) and any other type of one-to-one online collaboration.

Q. How do I start sharing my screen?
A. Once you have downloaded Oneeko, an icon will appear on your desktop. Simply double click it and Oneeko is up and running. You can send someone an invitation using Skype, email or the Internet. Remember to start sharing; someone has to get connected to you first!

An invitation is sent to that person through the Skype Chat service. When that person clicks on the link in the Chat message, they will be connected to you and you are ready to start showing your screen.

This will send an invitation to that email address that contains a link to your session, inviting them to join your Oneeko session. When they click on the link, they will be connected to you and you are ready to start showing your screen.
- You can invite someone using the Internet by sending them to www.oneeko.com, having them enter your user id in the “Join an Oneeko Session” box and clicking on Connect. When they click on Connect, they will be connected to you and you are ready to start showing your screen.

A. Oneeko has a strong privacy policy and will not disclose any of your personal information to third parties nor will we ever sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We will never share your personal information with another Oneeko user. Please click Oneeko Privacy Policy to view our privacy policies.
Q. Is my Oneeko session secure?

Technical Information
Q: How does Oneeko work with firewalls and proxy servers?
A: For an Oneeko host sitting behind a firewall, you need to open TCP ports 1074 and 1087 for bi-directional traffic. However, guests (people you as the host invite to Oneeko session) don't need to open any ports to connect (the guest client works "tunnels" through firewalls when necessary).
Q. What affects the performance of an Oneeko session?
A. There are several things that can affect the performance of an Oneeko session. They are:
- Speed of the Internet connection
- The performance of your firewall and proxy servers, if your computer is behind a company firewall
- Your desktop’s background design. A detail background design creates more data that Oneeko has to transmit. To speed up the performance of Oneeko, the background color should be changed to a solid color.
